Absolute Contempt is proud to help spread the gospel of the man known as D. The prolific multi-instrumentalist behind the awesome Unending project delivers 4 tracks from two distinctly different sides of his musical personality.
Fistcuffs is a rotting form of rock n roll, somewhere between Witchery and Cop Shoot Cop, with traces of the better moments Prong had early on or a maniacally bass-heavy Bathory worship session. Fans of death’n’roll as delivered by Entombed or Carcass won’t be disappointed.
Unending delivers two slabs of doom. Slow, methodical, managing moments of melody and melancholy but crushing and deliberate at every moment. In the tradition of the mighty Bell Witch and Gates Of Slumber, the tracks aren’t cookie cutter repetition, they’re heavy moments worth experiencing. Absolute Contempt treads back into the low and slow end and it’s definitely worth it.
»The Weight Of Isolation« was originally released as rough demo & now completely re-recorded, mixed and mastered.
»Sonnet CXIX« featuring the lyrical works of William Shakespeare.
All instruments and vocals by D.
Recorded at D’s Pad.
