Misery Twin is a North Carolina band working at the intersection of shoegaze, post-rock, stoner rock, alternative rock, and bedroom pop. Their new LP unfolds as a singular vision, drifting through quiet melodic passages into grooving stoner riffs, towering walls of heaviness, and genuinely blistering lead work, all anchored by a pastoral and haunting atmosphere. Drawing from a lineage that includes Greet Death, True Widow, DIIV, and Cloakroom, Misery Twin has built a reputation throughout the regional DIY scene for precise, memorable live performances, including appearances at Greenwave Music Festival and Greenville’s long-running DIY institution, Pagan Parlor.
