Dread Spire is a sludge and doom metal inspired duo made up of Erol on drums and Richie on bass, based out of Northern California. The band’s debut »Endless Empire« EP will release on July 14th, 2023.

Erol and Richie grew up in Davis, CA and have been close friends since the 7th grade. The two have played together in multiple music projects over the years including the bands Speakeasy (blues) and Moray (post-rock) before their latest venture into their long-standing fondness of heavy music.

Key musical influences for Erol and Richie are: Ufomammut, Dopethrone, Monolord, Russian Cirlces, Deftones, and Nirvana.

This project started as two friends jamming and trying to make heavy music to help get through lockdown times, and has expanded into a re-invigoration of their love for music.
