Behold… Astralnaut… the new self-titled album!
Astralnaut from Armagh, Northern Ireland are a groove-based stoner doom metal band with progressive hard rock leanings. Formed in 2011, Astralnaut have been stalwarts of the underground Irish metal scene for the last 12 years.
They’ve shared stages across the land with some of the genre’s best: Red Fang (USA), Karma To Burn (USA), Desert Storm (UK), Black Magician (UK), Rising (Denmark), Trecker (Germany), plus top local acts Ten Ton Slug, Slomatics, War Iron, Nomadic Rituals, Partholón, The Crawling, to name a few.
They kickstarted 2024 with the release of 4 new singles and their first full-length album, the self-titled »Astralnaut«. After a string of shows, they proved they’re still a live force to be reckoned with, reaching the Belfast Grand Final of the Bloodstock Metal to the Masses Competition in May 2024. The band have been enjoying a lauded return to form and anticipation hasn’t been higher since their last split single release with Galway’s, Weedpriest back in 2015.
Boasting an extensive back catalogue, Astralnaut’s new album is expected to make waves on the local scene and beyond!
