Rotterdam, Netherlands based death/doom metal band Officium Triste premiere the first single »Behind Closed Doors« taken from their upcoming full-length album, titled »Hortus Venenum«, set to release through Transcending Obscurity Records.

The band comments: “Finally it’s time to reveal the first song of our upcoming album »Hortus Venenum«, which will be released via Transcending Obscurity Records.

The album was mixed and mastered by Erwin Hermsen at Toneshed Recording Studio. Paolo Girardi did his magic on the artwork. He perfectly painted what we envisioned. Layout of the cover was done by Simone Vinke. We’re curious what you think of this first track.”

Dutch death/doom metal band Officium Triste are all set to release their seventh full length album which is titled »Hortus Venenum«. Preorders for this one will be up in the coming month via Transcending Obscurity Records.

Band’s statement, “»Behind Closed Doors« is the first single and opening track of »Hortus Venenum«. When we were working on this song we named it the horror song due to that keyboard part. Martin came up with the song title. The lyrics deal with real live horror.

»Hortus Venenum« means poison garden. Now actual poison gardens do exist, but we use it as a metaphor. Paolo Girardi perfectly painted the idea we had for the cover. You’ll figure it out!”
