Pantheïst unveil a cover version of Steve Hackett’s »Shadow Of The Hierophant«

UK based funeral doom metal band Pantheïst has unveiled a cover version of Steve Hackett’s »Shadow Of The Hierophant«.

»Shadow Of The Hierophant« originally comes from Steve Hackett’s debut solo album »Voyage Of The Acolyte« (1975). Before Hackett left to pursue a solo career, he gained prominence as the lead guitarist of the English prog rock band Genesis from 1971 to 1977.

The band comments: “»Shadow Of The Hierophant« is a special cover of Steve Hackett’s prog epic with the same name. We enhanced the dark atmosphere of the original and cut down on the prog elements, opting for a funeral doom approach instead. The dark lyrics, inspired by Tarot reading, add even more menace and mystery to the composition.

The track will not be available on the usual streaming platforms, but subscribers of our mailinglist can download the audio for free. Follow this link to get immediate access: mailchi.mp/1914bf8d025c/sign-up-pantheist.”
