St. Cloud, Minnesota based stoner/fuzz rock band Rust Bucket stream their self-titled debut album, which was just released on January 17th, 2025 via Glory Or Death Records.

Get ready to dive into a world of fuzzed-out grooves and heavy, sludge-laden riffs! Rust Bucket, the brainchild of Pete Campbell – renowned for his drumming prowess in Pentagram – delivers a sonic treat for stoner rockers and heavy music enthusiasts alike.

Pete, stepping out from behind the drum kit and wielding a guitar as his weapon of choice, joins forces with seasoned players who have been pillars of Minnesota’s underground scene for over 25 years. Together, they craft a raw, unfiltered sound that delves deep into themes of depression, aging, addiction, and other personal struggles, all intertwined with an electrifying energy.

Last September, Rust Bucket teased their debut with the release of their single »Hypertension« under Glory or Death Records. Featuring Bob Balch of Fu Manchu, the track is a powerhouse.

Vocalist Tom shared the inspiration behind the song:

“Hypertension… after 40-some years of neglecting my health, the warning signs became impossible to ignore. Stress, anxiety, poor choices, heredity – they all culminated in high blood pressure. This song is a wake-up call. It’s about realizing that youth doesn’t last forever and that it’s time to take control before it’s too late. Hypertension is serious – it’s a killer. Oh yeah, and don’t forget to rock ‘n roll!”

Pete added:

“Obviously, Fu Manchu is a massive influence, and collaborating with Bob on this was a no-brainer. I thought, ‘This song needs a killer Bob Balch lead.’ I sent him the track, and boom – what you hear is pure magic. It was such an honor to have him blaze on this!”

Rust Bucket’s self-titled debut album dropped digitally on January 17th, with a vinyl release set for Sunday, January 26th.
