»Mors Certa, Hora Incerta« is the debut full-length album from Katowice-based death doom metal band Starless Void. Following an earlier demo, a self-titled EP and a live release, the album sees the band moving forward without losing touch with their classic death-doom roots.

Recorded at Lighthouse Audio in Pszów and released through Case Studio, the album draws inspiration not only from the pioneers of the genre but also from the industrial landscape of Upper Silesia. Mine shafts, steelworks and old workers’ settlements form part of the atmosphere that runs through the record, giving the music a strong connection to the region the band calls home.

Across seven tracks, Starless Void combine heaviness, melancholy and atmosphere into a sound that reflects both the roots of death doom and the character of Upper Silesia itself. The result is an album shaped by harsh surroundings, history and a sense of place that remains present throughout the record.
