Wąż was founded in Autumn of 2014 in Kraków by Arek Kaus (guitar/synths), Bartek Szeląg (bass) and Kamil Łazorczyk (drums) soon to be joined by Paweł Piecha on vocals. In this line up in 2016 they released two singles »Demons In My Head« and »Revolution« to be found on Youtube. Through the years and line up changes (including Adam Szafrański stepping in and out on vocals and Kuba Szyma settling on drums) the band evolved into an instrumental trio. Music of the group is a mix of progressive metal riffs, stoner rock grooves and psychedelic ambients. In 2020 Wąż released their debut album »Sage«. The second full-length album »Monolith« followed in March 2025.
