Spaceslug is a kozmik doom power trio based out of Wroclaw, Poland. Forming in 2015, this trio blends stoner metal, doom metal and space rock, drawing from space, time and multiverse theory. To date the trio have released three albums among other releases and have toured throughout Europe.
Spaceslug would form in June 2015 by guitarist Bartosz Janik and drummer Kamil Ziółkowski, following with bassist Jan Rutka joining. Four months after the band would form work would begin on a debut album, recording at Odbiornik Studio. The end result would be the band’s debut album »Lemanis«, released February 2016 to positive reviews. Performing with contemporaries in the Polish stoner scene and gaining momentum, work would begin on a follow-up recording at MAQ Studio & Satanic Audio the next January. »Time Travel Dilemma« would see release in February 2017 via Oak Island Records and BSFD Records, just a little over a year after their debut. An EP »Mountains & Reminiscence« would follow the next year in September 2017, with the band also signing to Kozmik Artifactz for exclusive distribution.
Spaceslug would release their third album »Eye The Tide« in July 2018, surrounding appearances at Summer Dying Loud and Gathering Festival, followed by a tour of Europe and an appearance at Freak Valley Festival the next year. A second EP »Reign Of The Orion« would see release in December 2019 to positive reviews and a short tour in 2020. The band were intended to tour Europe with Forming The Void but ultimately would be forced to cancel due to the Covid-19 pandemic. After some quiet months the band would return to performing live, making an appearance at Seeknifinace Festival in Austria.
