Portugese progressive/stoner/doom/industrial duo Fjords presents new single and music video »Purgatorio«

Coimbra, Portugal based progressive/stoner/doom/industrial duo Fjords presents new single and music video »Purgatorio« taken from their debut album »Gehenna«. »Purgatorio« is available on all major streaming platforms.
Says the band: “On November 24th, we released a new single, accompanied by a music video, called »Purgatorio«, which is already available on streaming platforms. This single will be part of our debut LP, »Gehenna«, which will feature three more tracks.”
Press Release:
Hailing from the central valleys of Portugal, Fjords return after a two-year silence to challenge the conventions of heavy and experimental music with »Purgatorio«, the single from their upcoming debut LP, scheduled for release in early 2026.
Composed of Rafael Borges (bass, vocals) and André Figueiredo (drums, synthesizers, drum machine and vocals), the band promises to preach their message, influenced by progressive rock, stoner doom, drone and industrial music, to the Portuguese alternative scene, reaffirming their name on the map.
Following the EPs »Fjords« and »Dunes« and the single »Dagon«, »Purgatorio« proves to be a powerful and intense track, with a new and raw sound, inspired by the dimension imagined by Dante Alighieri in his work »The Divine Comedy«, while never abandoning the experimentalism present in the band’s previous works.
