After three years of relentless touring across Europe and a face-melting session for KEXP, Travo return with »Wasteland«, their most direct and abrasive record to date. Loosely inspired by the fragmented world of T. S. Eliot’s ‘The Waste Land’, the album explores techno-anxiety, disconnection, dystopia, love, death, rebirth, and the search for collective spirituality. It stands as an aggressive, genre-bending rock record knocking on metal’s door while still managing to breathe through the chaos.

Recorded in early 2026 at ARDA Recorders in Porto and produced, mixed and mastered by Jaime Arellano (Ghost, Ulver, Behemoth), Travo’s fourth studio album »Wasteland« fuses dark psychedelia, synth-laden noise and industrial intensity into loud, corrosive, fast-paced songs intertwined with crushing, slow-burning epics. An intense headbang-inducing journey that will compel fans of everything from Slift, Osees, King Gizzard to Killing Joke. With »Wasteland«, the band takes that live experience into a harsher, more direct and unsettling territory:

Hailing from the city of Braga in Portugal, Travo is a relentless four-piece that commands attention with their unique fusion of high-octane heavy psych and unapologetic, in-your-face garage rock attitude. Prepare to be thrust into a maelstrom of sound as they catapult you through a rock and roll odyssey that shatters norms and ignites stages.

Their sonic saga escalated with the unleashing of their sophomore album Sinking Creation in February 2022. This release catapulted Travo to the forefront of both national and international stages, setting the scene for a rollercoaster of sonic exploration that would define their path. Sinking Creation birthed a revolution of raw, unadulterated sound that they’ve since wielded like a sonic weapon. Travo’s live performances transcend as volcanic eruptions of rock and roll energy, captivating audiences with the intensity of a rock and roll freakout. From the guttural cries to the electrifying guitar solos, they effortlessly turn every performance into a visceral sonic experience.

Travo is a sonic chimera, drawing influences from the diverse realms of psych, garage, prog-rock and even trash metal.
