Tver, Russia based instrumental heavy psych/stoner rockers Temnee are back with their new EP, »Planet Of Storms«, which was just released independently on September 15th, 2026.

»Planet Of Storms« is an album that will envelop your soul in dark delight and energy. It captures our fragmented emotions through unconventional experiments with sound. We spent a long time painstakingly recording this latest mini-album, which includes some of our rough drafts and sketches.

The EP features three full-fledged, substantial instrumental tracks with drums. We approached them thoughtfully, with technical precision and care. We tried to make them as dynamic and high-quality as possible (they were also recorded using a DIY electric guitar made from thousand-year-old oak). The album also includes two solo instrumental tracks: the guitar track »Melancholy« and the synthesizer track »Planet Of Storms«.

So, on the first track, »Caffeine«, you’ll get an exhilarating burst of energy from an early-morning coffee overdose. It combines varied, vibrant riffs with a piercing, sparkling solo.

The second track, »Draft«, creates an atmosphere that makes you want to sing along in the voices of Chris Cornell and Layne Staley. It features cool acoustic parts, drawn-out riffs, and powerful, lyrical solos. It’s everything we love, all in the Temnee style.

The third track, »Melancholy«, is included for a breather and some relaxation – just for the sake of it – a sort of “interlude” that doesn’t commit the listener to anything serious.

The track »Kosmosurfing« is us pushing ourselves to the limit. It’s a logical continuation of the track »Astrodiving« from our first self-titled EP – its further logical development (if you will, the second installment of this journey). It also features a newcomer: an overdriven synthesizer that, like a meowing cat, adds a driving energy and takes a solo alongside the guitar.

The final track, »Planet Of Storms«, is inspired by the concept of Alexander Kazantsev’s science fiction novella »Planet Of Storms«. The track was recorded using a variety of synthesizers – a experiment that breaks away from the overall theme and, as the album’s conclusion, transports listeners to a neighboring galaxy…
