Saint Petersburg, Russia based stoner/doom metal trio Zero Degrees presents their debut album, »Lizzard’s Sabbath«, which was just released on April 25th, 2025 via Siversky Valley Label.

Zero Degrees (stylized as “0°”) is a dense stoner and psychedelic kaleidoscope of doom from the banks of the Neva. The trio was founded on March 17, 2023, after a long search for like-minded people. The team gravitates toward different types of music, but we found a compromise in stoner music.

»Lizzard’s Sabbath« album is a three part release, where each part will resonate with listeners.

The first part is called »Love Eclipse« and is all about love and what it leads to. It consists of two songs: the opening instrumental – »Solar Eclipse« and the lyrical, inspired by first love »Echeveria«.

The next part is called »Lonely One-Way Trip« sublimated apathetic chthony and hatred for humanity, which is capable of killing itself. The second part also includes two songs. »Ranger« an action thriller about confronting a world bent on self-destruction and the acid-soaked »100 Years of Solitude« combining an assertive groove with the hypnotising charm of psychedelia, revealing the theme of lonely travellers into the depths of their minds.

The final part is a letter from ancient myths – »Ancient Cult«, a reference to the works of Howard Phillips Lovecraft. Archean races of Ludo-Jashers worshipping the mysterious monolith Greendizer. Eternally fuming in the mantle of ritualistic ceremonies. The first song in this part about the monolith is »Greendizer«, an anthem about the hypnosis of one’s own will in the boundless power of temptation, bringing everything to a loud call to an apocalyptic coven, comparable to the band’s live performances. »Lizzard’s Sabbath« is an extreme burst of groove of ritualistic ludo-jasher dances, to the thundering low-frequency fuzz. It’s a song about people getting uncontrollably intoxicated by our music. And completes the part and the album with an epic journey from the planet Earth – »Cosmic Caravan«, it is a philosophical discourse on the theme of past civilisations, that in periods when the Earth become uninhabitable, all civilisations migrated, divided into those who flew away and those who stayed. The plots of both groups are vague and unclear. And the same uncertainty awaits humanity.
