Formed in 2018, Stiff Buscemi is an instrumental psychedelic rock band from Novi Sad, Serbia. Inspired by the music of the Balkans, the Middle East and North Africa and highlighted by wah guitars, their debut album »Jet-Black Highdooks« stands out among today’s plethora of oriental rock in its meticulous production, rich sound, fine musicianship, nonsuperficial engagement with eastern musical elements, and playful compositions that shift between energetic, unpredictable moments to atmospheric and hypnotic passages.
On stage, the band consists of Ivan Krstić on guitar and synth, Luka Banjac on guitar, Petar Šćepanović on bass, and Dušan Prentović on drums. The very first release of the quartet already establishes that we will be hearing their name cited often as one of the most interesting psych-rock ensembles of the region alongside their contemporaries like The Cyclist Conspiracy, Band In The Pit, or Zagušljivi Dim.

Inverted Spectrum Records is not only happy and proud for presenting this remarkable record to your tasteful ears, but will also be bringing Stiff Buscemi to your neighborhood in Eastern Europe and elsewhere in the near future for you to enjoy them live on stage as well.
