“There is nothing polished on the new Kormorana’s album »Leto«. Everything sounds raw, authentic and dirty, but in a good way. The bass drum is in the background, the cymbals are the most creaky. The snare drum sounds like cardboard. In between, the guitar dominates, played through the cut-up membrane of an old amplifier, to which a guitar effect is then added. This sound has something synesthetic about it. You can almost smell the cigarette smoke from the band’s rehearsal room. The bass is distorted, fat, and powerful – the hypnotic tones don’t sound like smoke, but like dripping grease. How the hell did they do it?” — Tolpa Bumov, Radio Študent
