Los Angeles, CA – Southern California witchy doom trio Pegzilla are thrilled to be hitting the road in a time where creating and sharing art that resists is more important than ever. Showcasing songs from their upcoming album Disobedience (scheduled to release this September), they’ll be playing many cities for the first time including Denver, Boise, SLC, Santa Fe and Kalispell!

Pegzilla released a monsterous new single at the end of February. »Virginia Werewolf« is a song about coming to terms with the flaws of those we idolize.

It’s about the quandary of art vs. artist.

The disappointment we feel when they fail at meeting our idealized expectations vs. the appreciation of the art.

At what point do we disengage from art that we love due to the actions of the artist? While the song provides no answer, it expresses the frustration felt when learning harsh truths and the ethical debacle that comes with an era where personal taste has become a public mark of character.

If Sabbath got hexed by a riot grrrl and dragged through the desert at midnight, you’d get Pegzilla. The three piece heavy rock band out of Los Angeles California features Olivia Saperstein on vocals and guitars, Juan Barsse on bass, and Ryan Swain on drums. With hints of doom metal, psych and even punk rock it’s hard to fit this rowdy trio into a tidy box. Instead label them one thing: LOUD.
