Psychedelic Witchcraft was formed in March 2015 by an Italian doomstress named Virginia Monti, living through the imaginary of occult and witchcraft with psychedelic colors and emotions, inspired by the sounds and the pictures of an almost lost era. »The Vision« is the band’s debut album, released on April 29th, 2016 via Soulseller Records.

Psychedelic Witchcraft’s first EP »Black Magic Man« was published on July 2015 via Taxi Driver Records, growing the interest for her project in the stoner/doom scene. The first line-up had Virginia Monti (vocals), Jacopo Fallai (guitar), Riccardo Giuffrè (bass) and Daniele Parrella (drums).

In January 2016, the former drummer Daniele left the band. Mirko Buia took his place and gave the band more fire and power. The first half of 2016 also set the release of the band’s debut album »The Vision« on Soulseller Records and several shows (including support shows to Elder, Mos Generator, Ufomammut, The Vintage Caravan, Dead Lord).

Almost one year later, on January 2017, a compilation »Magick Rites And Spells« (Soulseller Records) came out, gathering all the band’s tracks not included in the debut album.

The band then signed with Listenable Records to release second studio album »Sound Of The Wind« on November 3rd, 2017. Psychedelic Witchcraft also made a great UK debut playing Damnation Festival 2017 before disbanding in 2018.

Monti would remain active with another project in Neyah. Psychedelic Witchcraft were intended to reform in 2020 to play Muskelrock Festival but due to the Covid-19 pandemic the festival would be canceled, with the band remaining inactive.
