South African musician Corné Marais (Dredge The Lethe, Hollowing) has launched his new solo endeavor, Fog, and released debut album »The Unseen«.

Hailing from Cape Town, Fog is a dedicated one-man project designed as an experimental canvas for heavy, atmospheric, and riff-driven music. Influenced by Dopelord, Acid Mammoth, Mephistofeles, Monolord and Sea Of Grief, Marais is channeling his deep passion for the sonic weight and dark textures of traditional and modern doom metal.

»The Unseen« serves as the first look into Fog’s sonic landscape. The project draws heavy inspiration from influential giants of the stoner, psych, and epic doom scenes.

“Fog is a space where I can fully experiment and pay homage to the bands that shaped my musical vision,” says Corné Marais. “With »The Unseen«, I wanted to capture that raw, crushing energy of the doom genre while carving out a distinct atmosphere from here in Cape Town.”
