Baby Candy is a Kaurna Land (Adelaide), South Australia band playing 70s riff rock dosed up with 90s fuzz tones. Featuring Brenton Wilson on vocals/guitar (Rocky’s Pride & Joy), Fraser Ray (Sleep Talk, I, Exalt), Sam Szabo and Michael Belletti (Sleep Talk). After playing around Kaurna since 2019 and releasing some initial singles, this is BC’s first release as a four piece and a hint of the group looking to step up their activity in 2024.

The four tracks flex Baby Candy’s ability touch many genres while creating a sound all their own, first track »Candy Sucker« is a glammy groover akin to a toughened up T Rex. Second track »Big Boi« is an Amyl and the Sniffers meets FUZZ burner. Third track »What’s Worse« is a slower, more alt rock hit that features both delicate & fiery guitar work. Finally, final song »Riffy Ponting« showcases the band jump from psych rock to stoner to straight rolling riffs.
