Spanish dark metal act TodoMal share new live session video for the track »Ultracrepidarian«!

Barcelona, Spain based dark metal act TodoMal share new live session video for »Ultracrepidarian«, the title track of their debut album.
The band comments: “Here’s the third of four live performances filmed at Sonic Art Studio almost two months ago. This track, »Ultracrepidarian«, is from our debut album (a few vinyl copies remain on our Bandcamp page!) and is now available in full format on IG.
Filmed by La Lombarda Films, with four takes per song to ensure the final edit represents our best performance. The full session – including the final song and additional footage – will be released soon.
Meanwhile, we’re finalizing new recordings for this year’s release, with drums and guitar reamps scheduled before summer at Perdido Studios.”
TodoMal (translates as “all evil” or “all wrong”) came to life in the year zero of our era, 2020, as the brain child of Wildman and Mile, two veteran multi-instrumentalists of the Spanish underground (and not only) metal scene, whose extensive background goes back to a myriad of projects of multiple styles like Asgaroth, The Heretic, Dejadeath…
TodoMal is the product of serendipity, a personal combination of the solemnity of traditional doom metal with the profusion of space-rock.
Imagine Candlemass and Pink Floyd having a drunken brawl over some cheap wine and then writing an album to make amends… In 2023 TodoMal returned with »A Greater Good«, their latest album, and it poses challenging questions, wrapped in music that is sometimes dark and at other times luminous, spanning from slow-tempo to progressive rock to quasi-mystical litanies. The path they embarked upon with their debut album, leading to desolate landscapes and the emptiness of the plateau, has continued into darker territories, reminiscent of tenebrist altarpieces, where doubts about what is right or wrong, what we do in this world to earn redemption, or why we have a nefarious tendency to destroy what we love are depicted against a smoldering forest.
Recorded at Sonic Art Studio (Barcelona) on March 30th, 2025.
Sound engineered by Andrés Spee.
Cameras by Ignacio Malagón & Jordi Jáimez.
Mixed & edited by TodoMal.
