Madrid, Spain based experimental doom/sludge/post-metal band Adrift premiere the first single »Concrete« taken from their forthcoming full-length album, »Dry Soil«, which will be releases on January 31st, 2025 via Monolito Records.

»Dry Soil« is the fourth full-length album by the Spanish band Adrift. After more than 25 years of playing together, Adrift return with a new album that once again traps us in their characteristic atmosphere, full of heavy, repetitive and twisted riffs, taking the natural evolution of the band one step further after all these years.

»Dry Soil« is about the limits to which the most basic aspects of humanity are pushed, about how we deal with the conflicts and contradictions we face on a daily basis, and about how we absolutely dry everything out, squeezing it to the last drop.

Adrift are one of the most respected bands of the Spanish underground scene, with a career spanning for 25 years and with three critically acclaimed full-lengths released: »Monolito« (2009), »Black Heart Bleeds Black« (2012) and »Pure« (2019). The quartet released their third opus »Pure« on May 31th, 2019 via the Swedish label Temple of Torturous. The album was recorded at Ultramarinos Costa Brava with producer and engineer Santi García (Standstill, Toundra, Giganto) and shows a more organic and raw approach to their vicious blend of sludge, post-metal, doom and progressive metal.

Often considered as one of the heaviest and most intense bands of the Peninsula, Adrift have shared the stage with many renowned artists such as Wolves In The Throne Room, Cult Of Luna, Year Of No Light, Cancer Bats or Torche, plus appeared at several first-class festivals like Costa de Fuego, Resurrection Fest, Download Festival, Incubate Festival, Bracara Extreme Fest or Mareira Fest.
