Electric Fence was born in 2002 in Madrid (Spain) when a few friends from childhood gathered to hang out, have some beers and play some rock and roll together. Their idols were classic hard rock bands such as AC/DC, Led Zeppelin, The Cult, Black Sabbath… but there were also some contemporary bands that strongly influenced them, like The Hellacopters, Gluecifer, Danko Jones or Supersuckers, to name a few.

They soon began playing in all the usual underground venues of the city, and after a couple changes in the line-up they developed their own sound and songs, which they recorded in their first release: »Shock’n’Roll« (2006). It got many great reviews and thousands of streams and downloads in the copyleft platform Jamendo.

After three years and some more lineup changes they had a bunch of new songs to be recorded: these were the ones you can find in their second release, »Science Friction« (2009), which also got very good reviews and gave the band a solid collection of songs to be defended live. Through the years they got to play with some of the bands they really looked up to, such as Blackberry Smoke, Super400, Danko Jones, Supagroup, Egypt, Sex Museum, Tea… becoming a classic act of Madrid’s underground rock and roll scene.

In 2012 they recorded their third work: »Motorkiller«, but just about finishing the mastering process they underwent another major lineup change which forced them to begin a long quest for a new singer, and once they found him, vocals were recorded again and the whole album was remixed and masterd from the gorund up. It finally was released in 2016.

Since 2018 the band has had their most stable lineup and has just finished recording their fourth album: »Iron Surgery«, which will see the light in the beggining of 2024.
