El Altar del Holocausto is an instrumental post-rock cult band from Spain. Formed in 2012, El Altar del Holocausto consists of Weasel Joe (guitar), Reverb Myles (guitar), Skybite (bass), and Reaper Model (drums).
With five studio albums, three EPs, and several singles, El Altar del Holocausto will return with new tour in 2026.
They have shared the stage with legendary bands such as Mono and God Is An Astronaut and have played at festivals such as Can Festival (China), Resurrection Fest, Download Fest, Stoomfest (UK), Gloomaar (Germany), Sonic Blast (Portugal), Frantic Fest (Italy),… in addition to more than 500 concerts that have made them a cult band and a benchmark of the genre throughout Europe.
After a period of silence, »Ecos« symbolizes the band’s return and the beginning of a new chapter. The album’s title finds its meaning in a powerful analogy with migratory birds: species that, after spending the winter in warmer regions, cyclically return to their places of origin to begin again. It is a metaphor for return, persistence, and renewal that permeates the entire work.
The album was recorded at Metropol Estudios (Madrid) during January 2026 and consists of six pieces that travel through different emotional and sonic landscapes.
»Ecos« is available on CD digipak, LP vinyl in four different editions, and in digital format through the band’s official Bandcamp page and as well as on the usual streaming platforms. The release is accompanied by exclusive merchandise designed for this new chapter.
The album’s artistic direction was developed by Reaper Model, the band’s drummer, who signs off on a visual proposal in keeping with the concept of return and transformation that defines this work.
