Whale Nado attended the first edition of Stoner Club on January 14, where they recorded their songs »Black Bones« and »Yann Tiersen«.

Recorded live, with an exquisite sound, in a series of concerts organized by Sonido Custom, focused on stoner, progressive rock, doom and related styles, during which a live recording of the participating bands is made.

The post-rock trio Whale Nado has an epic sound and an elegant and forceful live show, as they already demonstrated on the tour of their previous album, playing with bands such as Toundra. The pandemic, and the paternity of some of its members, caused the stoppage of their previous tour and led them directly to the creative process of their new album »The Ocean Rebellion And Sonic Therapies«, a gift for the ears.

This new tour plans a new stage for the band and has already begun its journey throughout the peninsula. In this new adventure they will share the stage with bands like Exxasens and Deriva, in addition to going through festivals like Beach Riot Fest.

»The Ocean Rebellion And Sonic Therapies«:

On 3rd November it was released the Whale Nado’s new album, »The Ocean Rebellion And Sonic Therapies«, an entire post-rock work. This is the 3rd work of the band and their second vinyl LP, an El Hombre Music (Spain) and Voices Of The Unheard Records (France) co-edition. Three songs has been released as singles as a preview of this masterpiece. These songs gave us clues about the general sound and the backgoround.

The first single was »No volveré a ser joven«, together with the poet David Sarrión, frontman of Clacowsky, in an adaptation of Gil de Biedma’s poem, brought to the post-shock terrain and which has cast a light that continues to be had taken into account by specialized means.

»Candidates« is the second single from this new work, and tries to tell, through its particular sound, epic and cinematographic, the story of the personification of being human, in which sometime in life is, and we are, candidates for something, either from own decision or others’s. The last single, »Legendary Speaker«, shows the musical variety we find in the album. In this age, where we talk about sustainability, climate change and “saving” the planet, the band with the album’s title makes a metaphore between the inner ocean and the inner emotions of the human being. The songs work as a therapy in order to express that inner rebellion, and all of them engage each other in a story that everyone will understand on its own.

The three-piece band from Albacete ride firmly through the grounds of the instrumental post-rock and the rockiest alternative part. Whale Nado shows us that sometimes you don’t need the word to convey a message, and that music is as necessary in life as life own breathing, even sometimes, as they themselves know, music is breathing. Their live performance is heartbreaking, with a sound language that leaves a full emotion in the environment.
