Madrid, Spain based post-metal quartet Last Forest Rain share new music video for »Shelter Under Leaves« taken from their self-titled debut album, which was released on January 17th, 2025 via These Hands Melt.
Says the band: “After several years of hard work, passion, and effort, our self-titled debut LP is finally coming to light! We’re beyond excited to release it with the amazing label These Hands Melt, something we never could have imagined in our early days.”

The quartet from Madrid, Spain debuted in 2020 with the EP »Things To Come«, composed and produced remotely during the pandemic and exploring sounds close to post-rock, post-metal and blackgaze. In 2023, the band followed on their debut with the colossal single »Sona-Nyl«, a 12-minute track featuring a sound closer to post-black and including vocals for the first time, both these works we warmly recommend you to check!
Influenced by artists such as Rosetta, Amenra, Deafheaven, Cult Of Luna, Downfall Of Gaia, Alcest, Last Forest Rain has recently completed works for their self-titled debut full-length with producer Simón da Silva, which is scheduled for release in January 2025!
The band comments: “We are excited to join These Hands Melt, a label dedicated to post metal and dark music in all its variants and subgenres. Soon, we will release our first album, and we are convinced that there is no better way to do it with These Hands Melt. It is a great opportunity for us, opening a new and exciting chapter for Last Forest Rain.”
With their first album Last Forest Rain refined a heavy shoegazing sound, vast in soundscapes & colors, full of heartfelt moments equally ethereal and aggressively emotional.
