Spanish sludge/post-metal band Boveda del Sol releases first volume of their »Low Orbit Sessions«!

Barcelona, Spain based sludge/post-metal band Boveda del Sol has just released the first volume of their »Low Orbit Sessions« on May 17th, 2025. Recorded live in February 2025, this live session brings a live interpretation of their songs »Event Horizon« and »Traveler Between Worlds«.
Following the band ethos, all audio and video recording were done by the band, as well as the mixing, mastering and video editing.
Boveda del Sol is a sludge/post-metal band based in Barcelona, Spain. Their sound blends heaviness and atmosphere, drawing influences from Yob, Thou, Sumac, Chat Pile, and Isis.
Says the band: “We’ve just released the first volume of our »Low Orbit Sessions«, a series of raw DIY live recordings that capture our live intensity. It’s available on the digital platforms. Biography:
Boveda del Sol is an experimental doom band from Barcelona, started as a one-man-band founded by Jordi Vaquero, debuting with the album »Terra Firma« in 2016, later releasing the »Traveler Between Worlds« EP in 2020, and the experimental electronic album, Fueron Cautivados por el Fuego« in 2022.
In 2023 a new chapter started, Boveda del Sol is no more a one-man-band, as Victor from Onyric Joy, Marçal from Maragda and Uri from Me Dicen Que Queme Cosas joined the project.
Together in 2024 they released »Collective Unconsciousness«, a new album full of heavy tunes, spacey ambiance and experimentation. The album has been released in all digital platforms, also in a limited edition vinyl.
