The band would say: “»Dust And Nothingness« explores the nostalgia for the future—a future not too distant where someone very close (imagined here as your own child, real or imagined) will inevitably drift away, entering the whirlwind of the world. It resigns to the pain of letting someone go, fading into oblivion. The melodic leitmotif, reminiscent of old wall clocks, nods to time running against us. The practically unresolved ending serves as a prelude or introduction to the rest of the album’s tracks.”

TodoMal (translates as “all evil” or “all wrong”) came to life in the year zero of our era, 2020, as the brain child of Wildman and Mile, two veteran multi-instrumentalists of the Spanish underground (and not only) metal scene, whose extensive background goes back to a myriad of projects of multiple styles like Asgaroth, The Heretic, Dejadeath…
TodoMal is the product of serendipity, a personal combination of the solemnity of traditional doom metal with the profusion of space-rock.
Imagine Candlemass and Pink Floyd having a drunken brawl over some cheap wine and then writing an album to make amends… In 2023 TodoMal are back with »A Greater Good«, their newest album, and it poses challenging questions, wrapped in music that is sometimes dark and at other times luminous, spanning from slow-tempo to progressive rock to quasi-mystical litanies. The path they embarked upon with their debut album, leading to desolate landscapes and the emptiness of the plateau, has continued into darker territories, reminiscent of tenebrist altarpieces, where doubts about what is right or wrong, what we do in this world to earn redemption, or why we have a nefarious tendency to destroy what we love are depicted against a smoldering forest.
