From Cruz Del Sur Music:
Today we are pleased to release a new song off SpellBook’s album »Magick & Mischief« that will be officially released on September 25.
»Not Long For This World« represent the heavier and more doom oriented side of the band, strongly reminding of the traditional Black Sabbath’s sound.
It also shows SpellBook’s ability in writing catchy and addictive riffs always with a scope on melodies.
»Magick & Mischief« will be available on Compact Disc (available for shipping next week), Vinyl (first pre-orders being sent now) and digital.
“I’m incredibly honored to announce the release of another track that demonstrates the incredible diversity of SpellBook’s debut album – for me, »Not Long For This World« represents them at their absolute heaviest – both emotionally and musically speaking. This is where the association with Sabbath, Pentagram, etc. really is the most obvious – and I highly encourage all of my doom brothers and sisters to sink their ears into this one!
While this album is a slight departure from the pure and epic metal that Cruz Del Sur Music is best known for, the reality is: it’s simply a KILLER album that I’m enormously proud of. The way I’ve seen it, most of the metalheads I know personally also love Purple, Lizzy, BOC, and Cooper – the bottom line is SpellBook simply check off all the boxes for me in terms of song craft, musicianship, and diversity. I love the record, and this particular track is one of the “dark horse” gems contained within that is worthy of your time – so I strongly recommend immersing yourself in this crestfallen wizardry that climaxes in true head banging glory!”
