Stygian Crown announce new album release on Cruz Del Sur Music, new band member and more!
Los Angeles epic doom metal band Stygian Crown has announced a follow-up album to the 2020 self-titled album to be released later this year via Cruz Del Sur Music.
Official band announcement:
“It’s a new year, and a time for new beginnings, so we wanted to share a few exciting updates with you.
First, Stygian Crown is actively working on a follow-up album to the 2020 self-titled release. The tentative plan is to begin recording in late March at various studios around Southern California. We are proud to be working again with Mark Kelson of The Eternal on the mixing and mastering of this project. If all goes as planned, we hope to release our new album – title to be revealed soon – this summer through Cruz Del Sur Music. We can’t wait to tell you who our cover artist is!
Second, we wanted to bring you up to date about the band line-up. For about a year now, our original bass player, Jason Thomas, has been focusing on family obligations. Jason is our close friend and brother, and we respect his wishes to step away from band life. We all wish him the best in his endeavors. For the past several shows, we’ve been fortunate to have Eric Bryan (Anger As Art, Abbatoir, Sentinel Hill) filling in on bass duties. We now consider him a permanent member and are fired up to have him along for the ride. Welcome Eric!
Our next performance will be this weekend at the Hell Over Hammaburg Festival in Germany, our second European show in four months. We are excited to be sharing the stage with Wheel and Sanhedrin again, making new connections with many other talented bands, as well as meeting all of you! This will be the first of numerous major festivals we’ll be playing over the next year or so, both in the US and abroad. We’ll see you on the road!
Doom Upon You All!
Melissa, Rhett, Nelson, Andy and Eric”
