Swallow The Sun premiere new music video for »The Void« taken from their eight full-length album »Moonflowers«, out now via Century Media Records

Finnish death/doom metal act Swallow The Sun premiere new music video for the latest single »The Void« taken from their eight full-length album, »Moonflowers«, out on November 19th, 2021 via Century Media Records.

The band comments: “New video for »The Void« out now! This highlight taken off our new album »Moonflowers«, which was released worldwide today, is the visual representation behind the story of the moonflower. »The Void« is directed by amazing Sam Jamsen.

We want to thank The National Museum of Finland and Hvitträsk museum for allowing us to visualize our video on the Finnish national treasures. Also big thanks to actors Mega Maunula and Krista Ruusunen.”

“I was honoured to have a peek inside the head of Juha Raivio in the heart of the Swallow the Sun to create the music video for The Void in close collaboration with him. It turned out to be quite an emotional journey and I hope everyone watching the video will feel the same.” adds Sam Jamsen.

At 52-minutes, »Moonflowers« is an eight-song affair that drives deep into the heart of Swallow The Sun main songwriter Juha Raivio’s disconsolate soul. From the dramatic »Enemy« and the grim »This House Has No Home« to the delicate »Moonflowers Bloom In Misery« and the beauteous »The Fight Of Your Life«, »Moonflowers« is as rewarding and dynamic as it is accomplished and intimate. That it features Cammie Gilbert (Oceans Of Slumber), Antti Hyyrynen (Stam1na), and Trio NOX – who perform a re-arranged classical version of »Moonflowers« in a Finnish church, which comes as a bonus album to some of the album formats—are more reasons to hold Swallow The Sun’s latest leap into the unknown in the highest regard.
