Gävle, Sweden based black/doom metal band Askegraf has just released their debut album »Järn, Minne & Aska« on June 5th, 2026.

Askegraf is a black/doom metal band from Gävle, Sweden.

Seeking vastness and the infinite in the small and mundane, with inspiration drawn from unknown and disregarded places near everyday life. The forests, abandoned industrial areas, and wastelands nearby become an intersection of time and space where we anchor our story.

In July 2023, the band was formed by Björn and Rikard out of their many long wanderings during childhood up to the present day, influencing both lyrics and mood. In 2025 Mattias and Mårten joined to complete the lineup.
