Dark alternative metal band Outshine share an elixir of truth with the world with new »Enough« music video & single!

Gothenburg dark alternative metal outfit Outshine has returned with a haunting music video for their new single, »Enough«. Directed by Kenny Boufadene (known for his work with Manimal and Ice Age), the video serves as the opening chapter of an ambitious four-part cinematic series evolving across three subsequent videos, culminating in a final chapter shortly after the release of their upcoming album, »Truthsayer«, which will be released on June 26, 2026 via Eclipse Records.

In the new music video, vocalist Jimmy Boman reprises his role as the enigmatic Reverend Boman, a character central to the band’s lore. In this installment, the Reverend gathers a diverse group, including a banker, a baron, and a laborer, to partake in an “awakening elixir” designed to shatter social divisions. The concept utilizes occult imagery to mirror the song’s lyrical confrontation of a fractured society. Boman describes the track as a rallying cry against the elite forces that manipulate the “common man” into manufactured conflict. Musically, »Enough« delivers the signature Outshine sound: melancholy shadows woven through haunting keys and rhythmic guitar work.

“»Enough« is a song about the broken society we now live in.” explains vocalist Jimmy Boman. “We are pushed to pick sides, and we are brainwashed to take a stand without thinking about what is actually true or not. People are inserted by fear and because of this friends and family end up in made-up arguments, it’s all very soul-breaking. But we need to say enough and wake up to see that we are being used as pawns be the elites and that we should not be enemies with each other.”

The brilliant new dark alternative metal album from Outshine titled »Truthsayer« has something for every rock and metal fan, including rich guitar work, haunting keys, a powerful back beat, and mesmerizing vocals. Musically, the feel is wonderfully diverse, with parts and parcels working together to craft a vision both dark and distinct, disturbing, yet hopeful. The keys are eerie and foreboding, leading us down shadowed corridors with hypnotic vocal harmonies that often split into octaves, as if to show contrasting views of the world existing atop each other like fog on cobblestone and the sun on the sea.

In terms of raw pathos, the band plays its listener like an instrument that coaxes emotions from the soul and paints them like colors on a canvas and poems in the skyline. Concurrently, Outshine’s fans do not feel alone on an island. They are part of something big, something greater than themselves, something universally and collectively profound, though their specific part is unique and important. The band is all about the bare truth, about finding answers and building bridges. And they do so by example. No one in this project – himself owns the spotlight, and that is their superpower. Lockstep. Synchronized. Stronger together.

Lyrically, the band blasts the elite, biased media and totalitarianism, depicting a world distorted with poison as common people are kept in a metaphorical asylum of sorts, locked in their rooms, screaming silently from behind sound-proofed glass. It puts us slightly off balance, as these messages of doom are superimposed on music with such a chunk and satisfying groove vibe. In the end, the band tells us that shadows recede. Hell turns to hope. Night ends with dawn, and the ashes of a scorched earth can produce an awesome rising phoenix. This band is for real, and »Truthsayer« is nothing less than a magnificent megaphone.

»Truthsayer« was produced, engineered & mixed by Kenny Boufadene (Manimal, We Are The Catalyst, Tears Of A Fallen Hero) & Jimmy Bowman at Studio Meltdown. The album and singles feature art by Jimmy Boman. It is scheduled for release on June 26, 2026.
