In the moment between the ignition and the ensuing chaos, there is a total silence.

That fragment of time, a timepoint, analogous to a geometrical point in space, it has no duration, it can’t be heard. Although it represent the initiation of a total chaos.

Chaos that contains a full spectra of the massive energy of the forthcoming disaster.

Those timepoints is the inspiration to the sonic landscape of Skrckvldet.

*There was silence, then, chaos.

Skrckvldet was formed in 2018 by Alex Stjernfeldt (Novarupta, Grand Cadaver, Young Acid) and Peo Bengtsson (Beckahesten).

Drawing from their background in post-metal, ritual, dark ambient they used their experience to create something combining their past into something that could be described as a descent into the world darkness and human history.

Layered textures, atonal soundscapes broken by distortion and intense stretch out the fragments to infinity. The soundscapes slowly brings you to an apocalypse where the silence become deafening. It is the ongoing sound of a doomed existence.
