Swedish dark-post-gaze rock band Ştiu Nu Ştiu sign a worldwide deal with Heavy Psych Sounds Records

Heavy Psych Sounds Records announce that they have signed a worldwide deal with dark-post-gaze rock band Ştiu Nu Ştiu from Sweden for their new album.

Pre-sale + first track premiere: May 10th

Says the band: “We released our third album on our own label Widsith Records (we also release Martins solo projects & other bands such as Diskoteket, Drifter & Literature which are all friends from the same sort of music community) but for this our fourth album we thought we should find a good label to do it with us & as soon as we started talking to Heavy Psych Sounds we knew this would be good for us & hopefully for them. We can’t wait to let people hear our new album.”

Ştiu Nu Ştiu started in the autumn of 2012, when Kalle Mattsson moved back to Stockholm city as his former Caterpillar Ghost band mate, Martin Sandström, after almost a full decade in Amsterdam. They both grew up in Uppsala just north of Stockholm and the first four members were all from there but by the time this band started they all lived in Stockholm.
Sandström had spent his time making albums and touring Europe as guitarist and co-songwriter in so called postrock band Jeniferever. Mattsson had spent his time making artworks for record covers and playing bass with various bands in the Amsterdam scene.

In 2022 the line-up has gone through many changes but Kalle and Martin remain. The fourth album is finally ready to be released.

Beauty and ugliness need to co-exist. Melodies need to be destroyed by distorted mayhem. Melodies need noise, and noise needs to give way to structure and focus.

Ştiu Nu Ştiu is:
Jessica Mengarelli – Vocals
Martin Sandström – Guitar
Nicklas Bargell – Guitar
Kalle Mattsson – Bass
Christian Augustin – Drums
