Goddess is the powerful new incarnation of Sweden’s revered stoner/doom outfit Goatess.

Following the departure of founding guitarist Niklas, the remaining members chose to move forward under a new name, one that better reflects the hypnotic, majestic, and almost spiritual power of their sound. While the name has changed, the essence remains the same: crushing, riff-driven doom infused with thick stoner grooves, soaring vocals, and a dark, psychedelic edge.

Hailing from Stockholm, Goddess brings together seasoned musicians from the Swedish underground, including ties to acts such as Crucifyre. Building on the foundation laid across Goatess’s three acclaimed albums, namely »Goatess« (2013), »II: Purgatory Under New Management« (2016), and »Blood And Wine« (2019), the band continues to deliver slow-burning, monolithic riffs and immersive atmospheres, all wrapped in that unmistakable Swedish doom swagger.

Now signed to Majestic Mountain Records, Goddess is preparing to release their debut album »Ritual Of The Cloven Hoof« under the new banner – a record that promises to enchant fans of Electric Wizard, Sleep, Saint Vitus, Count Raven, and classic Black Sabbath.
