Sounds For The Lost Generation

Swedish doomsters Left Hand Solution finally share their original demos as »The Wounds Of Bitterness« worldwide on all digital platforms!

Swedish doomsters Left Hand Solution have released their original demo songs under the banner of »The Wounds Of Bitterness« on all digital platforms. The tracks are also available as bonus tracks on the vinyl edition of »Fevered – 25 Anniversary Edition«, available now via Massproduktion.

Erik Barthold comments: “The three songs on »The Wounds Of Bitterness« demo were recorded between our first and second album. Initially, it wasn’t intended to be released. I mean, who releases a demo after their first album? But since these recordings showed a new direction in the sound of Left Hand Solution, we decided to release it anyway as a cassette tape. This was back in 1995 and it’s the first recording with Mariana Frykman on lead vocals. It was recorded in a garage rebuilt into a very small and cheap recording studio. These versions of the songs have a more raw and distorted sound compared to the later versions that appeared on the album Fevered. It shows the transition of a band and is the missing link between the first two albums. Enjoy!”

Left Hand Solution was formed in 1991, released three albums, toured Europe, the US and Canada and made a big impression with their highly unique version of doom metal. What made LHS special was their combination of hard riffs, night-black beautiful melodies and Mariana Frykman’s dark and distinctive voice. They deviated early from current metal norms and as one of the early metal bands with a female vocalist, their influence has largely been missed and only now has their importance been paid full attention.

In 2019 they came back with the album »Through The Mourning Woods« and in 2021 – »Dead Of Winter«! 2022 they release »Fevered« 25 year edition as double vinyl with bonus tracks.

Left Hand Solution is:
