Åre, Sweden based heavy rock band Vikbole Boogie Brigade has just released their debut album »Sidequest« on September 25th, 2026 via Rockebo Records.

Vikböle Boogie Brigade is a heavy rock band from the ski-resort town of Åre, Sweden. Known for their self-described style of “Heavy Boogie”, the band blends elements of high-energy fuzz rock, stoner rock, and 1970s psychedelia. They emerged as a distinct new voice in the Swedish underground heavy rock scene, combining driving rhythms with a retro, raw aesthetic.

The band formed with the goal of creating hard-hitting, engaging rock music that relies on heavy fuzz, groovy basslines, and dynamic, incisive vocals. Their name refers to “Vikböle,” grounding their identity in Swedish roots, paired with a sound heavily influenced by classic 70s rock setups, classic stoner grooves, and traditional Swedish rock energy. They often perform live at regional events, including high-energy sets at local fixtures like the Åre Bike Festival and indoor music venues around Jämtland.

After two EPs »Mountaineer Matilda« (February 2025) and »Efter Midnatt« (April 2025), Vikböle Boogie Brigade expanded their discography with a full-length album »Sidequest«, released in September 2026. The album was preceded by the lead single »Helvetesbugg« in August 2026.
