MMR are thrilled to finally get Tornet’s astounding album out to the world, it’s been a long time coming. »Domedagar« weaves an impassioned and entrancing spell and Tornet is a powerhouse of collective talent making heady, heavy riffing, retro-toned, proto-psychedelic rock wrapped in infernally feral matriarchal magic steamrolling through your psyche.
Vast, lush swathes of seething, heavy, psychedelic rock and searingly beautiful, melodic, proto-metallic prog await you with exceptionally accomplished compositional flow and a tight, hard-rocking delivery bolstered by thick riffing which oscillates wildly from sixties and 70’s heavy rock to rich, bluesy doom metal and the recurrent appearance of metallic, double guitars.

Bounding basslines and a plethora of percussive elements provide ample groove and atmospheric embellishment which is seamlessly integrated through the use of varied keys, harmonium and unexpected trips into subdued yet intensely captivating instrumental passages through galloping heaviness. The sheer power of this release is driven at its core by singer Martina Svärd’s vocal command. Deeply mysterious, magnificent and soulfully sombre with intense energy virtually bleeding primordially ancient essence from the centre of the earth.
This release is Majestic’s second fully Swedish language release and we are thrilled to be able to bring you another album in the mother tongue. It’s incredibly inspiring to see the music and these amazing artists transcending the language barrier with the sheer quality of their output and blinding talent.

Tornet are a band that should be on everyone’s radar, a powerhouse of collective talent making heady, proto-psychedelic retro rock steamrolling right through your psyche.
With »Domedagar«, Tornet brings raging fires of destruction and the unstoppable tide of churning, unavoidable change in lush swathes of seething, heavy rock and searingly beautiful, melodic, proto-metallic prog. The album’s powerful, purposeful and extremely high quality delivery in overall concept, execution, musicianship and production exhibits tones of Graveyard, early Witchcraft, Jex Thoth and Horizont whisking us away into Tornet’s effortless weaving of double guitars, blues tones on top of wicked chugging fuzz, keys and well placed atmospherics not to mention the fantastic, commanding vocals. Sung completely in Swedish, on »Domedagar« we are shown once again, as with label mates Dröög and their spectacular self-titled debut, that music’s impact transcends any language barrier.
Thank you to everyone who’s jumped in and picked up a copy so far and to all of you listening and sharing.
Let’s all raise a glass to Tornet today and celebrate this immense release! »Domedagar« has come! And it’s about time.
