Helsingborg, Sweden based sludge/post-metal band K L P S premiere new music video for the track »Subverse« from their latest self-titled album, out on March 7th, 2025 via These Hands Melt.
Video by Insomnia Designs.
»Subverse« music video was first premiered at Lambgoat.com.
Guitarist/vocalist Daniel Wallenborg about the new video: “Musically we tried to do something different. Our guitarist Peter Walefors had this kind of mapped out and we played around with the opening for quite some time, trying blastbeats etc; channeling our inner Converge. And then the hardcore ending is kind of new to us, so in that sense, »Subverse« is the odd one out, more post-hardcore than sludge. This is absolutely something we will explore more in the future.”
About the lyrics, he added: “»Subverse« is about being fear-mongered by the powers that be to the point that you more or less welcome it with open arms and accept the outcome.”
