It is a Majestic Tuesday folks of the internet, and as promised MMR brings news of the second release for this Saturday’s pre-order double dip, so let’s get right to it!

Risen from the ashes of Ponamero Sundown and hailing from the concrete jungles of Stockholm, Black Solstice’s »Ember« smoulders brilliantly. A fantastically hard rocking, riff-filled debut album full of twists and turns, teeming with grit, gusto, and plenty of shredding, shifting tempos and time signatures.

10 tracks of exceptionally produced, heavy grooving, doomy riff rock take us through the gamut of double guitars, epic groove moments, sludgy doom breaks and some gloomy, progressively psychedelic flourishes as well. It’s a wild ride of an album that traverses a vast terrain between Iomic licks, QOTSA, Thin Lizzy, UFO, and varied 70’s-80’s power riff rock, but also borrows from a gloomier, doomy side with sludgy moments of Candlemass-esque lament.

Bottom line: high quality, high voltage Swedish hard stoner rock? Check!
