Anger MGMT. – the band name says it all. Here music is used as an outlet to turn anger into something creative. Contemporary, hard, rough with edges and yet catchy covered with a slightly melancholic wave shadow. Post-punk, punk, grunge, garage rock… An explosive mixture with a lot of punk rock DNA.
Shimmering post-punk guitars and pounding blast beats underpin catchy hooklines. Lyrics that crush in their honesty and a rough voice that reminds of the independent bands of the 90s.
»Anger Is Energy« was their debut album. The follow-up, »Anger Is Eternal«, represents a significant step forward, offering greater variety and demonstrating the band’s evolution without sacrificing their signature style and sound.

These are undoubtedly times that are driving art and culture toward angry pronouncements once again. Anger MGMT. are among those bands that want to say something, valuing their message as much as their music. They are a band that takes a stand, restlessly treading water, and actively engaged in politics.
Frontman and singer Nik Petronijevic sings extensively about his own experiences with anxiety, suicidal thoughts, and the underlying feeling of not belonging. Despite all these dark themes, the album also offers support and hope, aiming to unleash positive energy and transform anger into positive energy. Nik has suffered from severe anxiety and depression since childhood. He has confronted this illness and, as a mental health activist, destigmatizes it through radio, TV, interviews, podcasts, and on stage. Courageous, self-assured, and a role model for those who cannot, who hide or cannot escape the downward spiral.
But the band also addresses political and social issues, offering critique rather than spouting cheap slogans and catchphrases. The three band members are no strangers to their scene and have gained experience in other bands (check out: The Shattered Mind Machine). Self-released singles, videos, dozens of shows, and support slots for international bands demonstrate the energy and DIY mentality of this trio.
