Swiss alternative/shoegaze/post-rock outfit Last Leaf Down share new single and music video »Water« taken from their upcoming album, »Weight Of Silence«, set to release on April 11th, 2025 via Lifeforce Records.

Last Leaf Down was formed in 2003, evolving from doom metal to a distinctive shoegaze sound after Benjamin Schenk joined the band in late 2007. His arrival, together with Jeger’s continued influence, steered the band’s sound toward shoegaze and alternative, influenced by various bands like Anathema, Placebo, Katatonia, Slowdive, Keane or Muse.

By 2012, the band had developed their own, signature shoegaze sound. Their critically acclaimed debut album, »Fake Lights«, was released in 2014, followed by »Bright Wide Colder« in 2017. In recent years, the band has performed at notable festivals such as Wave Gothic Treffen, Gloomar Festival, and Melting Sounds Festival, as well as supporting Alcest and Les Discrets in Switzerland.

After years of growth and evolution since their last album, the band presents the latest work »Weight Of Silence« on April 11th, 2025.
