“Do we lose our innocence when we face hardships? »Open My Eyes«, the first track and second single off »In Dreams«, poses this question to the perpetual daydreamers and the restless minds. The song sweeps, unobstructed and unfazed, across a landscape of self-reflection and nostalgic exploration.”

“It’s all 60s and 70s early British rock sensibilities (both prog and mod vibes), shot through with heavy folk lustre and the sort of drive and vocals that would fit right in on a Barracuda-era Heart record.” — Classic Rock (UK)

New York’s legendary underground rock label Tee Pee Records is thrilled to announce the release of »In Dreams«, the highly anticipated sophomore album from Pittsburgh-based quartet Sweat.

Following their critically acclaimed 2023 debut »Who Do They Think They Are?«, Sweat return with renewed swagger, soul, and hard-rocking ambition on latest single »Open My Eyes«. Blending British prog-rock influences, ’70s glamour, and electrifying radio-ready hooks, the track showcases a band carving out a sound that is unmistakably their own.

On new single »Open My Eyes« the band poses this question to the perpetual daydreamers and the restless minds. Sweeping unobstructed and unfazed, across a landscape of self-reflection and nostalgic exploration, it’s one for fans of The Gods and Jefferson Starship.

After leaving her hometown of Basel, Switzerland in search of authentic vintage rock, vocalist and organist Sue Pedrazzi found her place in Pittsburgh alongside Steel City favourites Richard Stanley (Rich the Band), Dan Hernandez (Limousine Beach, Cruces), and Kayla Schureman (Century III). Together, the quartet have created a sound rooted in classic rock’s greatest traditions while confidently pushing into new territory.

»In Dreams« marks a defining new chapter for Sweat. Drawing inspiration from the towering sounds of Deep Purple, the driving force of The Who, and the emotional intensity of Heart, the band embrace their influences while forging a path of their own among the next generation of rock artists.

Recorded with Nate Campisi at Mr. Smalls Recording Studio in Millvale, PA in September 2024, »In Dreams« captures a band fully embracing their identity. Across ten tracks, Sweat explore themes of female empowerment, longing, self-discovery, and the strange beauty of everyday moments – from quiet reflection to killing time at the convenience store.

Moving effortlessly between heavy prog-rock passages and melodic pop sensibilities, »In Dreams« is a record that feels both timeless and immediate – a bold statement from a band hitting their stride. It is released on 25th September on Tee Pee Records and can be pre-ordered now!
