“Instrumental stoner doom from the sunny and shady sides of Uri folklore, on the nebulous heels of the Venediger.”
Modr have been making music together in various configurations for a long time. The band originated as a jam side project from the blues/rap group Schiibähunt and Vierschret, where the members of Modr, along with Myriam Planzer, interpret Uri legends through storytelling and music.
Modr draw inspiration from the same legendary material and transform it into instrumental stoner doom, exploring both the light and dark sides of Uri folklore: deep guitars, plenty of fuzz, hard-hitting drums, and melodic riffs.
With their debut EP, Modr musically delve deep into the local legends, following in the nebulous footsteps of the Venetian. Drawing inspiration from bands like Rotor, Green Lung, and The Sword, they unearth a treasure trove of new music.
