Oakhead is an instrumental rock band from Basel, Switzerland. Since the band’s inception, Oakhead has made a name for itself with their unique blend of hard riffs, psychedelic soundscapes and driving rhythms. The bands key feature is the improvised passages, each of which guarantees a unique live experience. In addition, the trio is always open to experiments and collaborations, so the band has already worked with loads of different musicians from and within all musical genres and formes (such as Pyro, Mono Mojo).
Characterized by influences from blues, stoner and psychedelic rock, but also elements of progressive and post-rock, Oakhead’s intense sound was first heard in 2015.

There are no vocals, which would be completely superfluous in this musical performance. The music speaks for itself, the songs are slow or fast, excessively loud and characterized by long psychedelic guitar solos, in whose sounds you quickly lose yourself and forget space and time.
»X.O.« the title of the album leaves plenty of room for interpretation, among other things XO describes the blend of cognac in which the youngest eaux-de-vies are stored in oak barrels for at least 10 years. It took just as long to complete this album. All the songs were written over time by all three members of Oakhead.
The album »X.O.« is released as a double vinyl, but also available on CD and in digital form.
