Swiss rock band Velvet Two Stripes return with »Woman«, the first single from their forthcoming album »Touch Grass«. Released on October 21, the song is an unapologetic celebration of being a woman: taking up space, trusting your instincts and finding strength in your own identity. It carries the confidence of knowing exactly who you are and being proud of it, without asking for permission or recognition.

Formed in St. Gallen in 2012 by sisters Sara and Sophie Diggelmann and longtime friend Franca Mock, Velvet Two Stripes have spent more than a decade making rock music on their own terms. Their sound is rooted in raw guitars, grungy swagger and an uncompromising attitude. It has evolved without losing the urgency and rebellious spirit that first brought them together. Drummer Samuel Jaussi now completes the band as a permanent member.

That evolution runs through »Touch Grass«, recorded across Portland, Vienna and Zurich. Working in three cities gave the band room to explore new sides of their sound while holding on to the rawness and immediacy at its heart. Their music moves between grit and vulnerability, confidence and confrontation, shaped by a chemistry built over years of playing together.

Velvet Two Stripes have earned a reputation as a powerful live act across Switzerland and Europe. They have shared stages with The Kooks, Uriah Heep and Manfred Mann’s Earth Band, and appeared at festivals including The Great Escape, Waves Festival, Trans Musicales and Reeperbahn Festival.

With »Woman«, Velvet Two Stripes make their return with a statement of self-belief. »Touch Grass« follows on April 9, 2027 via Duchess Box Records.
