Vevey, Switzerland based tribal stoner rock group Gora Mama premiere new single »Mammoth«, which just dropped today.

»Mammoth« is the second single taken from the band’s forthcoming album, due out in autumn 2024.

With a background of tribal drums and heavy riffs, the storyteller of a late Mesolithic tribe remembers everyone about the giants of the past.

Swiss-based band Gora Mama is set to release »Mammoth«, a heavy stoner song about the transcendence of Mammoths into gods. Each year, a late Mesolithic tribe celebrate the memory of the giants that once wandered thought the Eurasian icy steppe. The storyteller, keeper of the tribe’s collectve memory, sings the music that explains how this gigantc animal joined the pantheon of their gods to form one of the constellatons that guides them in the dark. With this release, Gora Mama wants to take you on a musical journey into their collectve imaginaton and inspiraton.

Recorded and mixed by their sound engineer Romain Equey, who has previously worked with renowned artists like Mark Kelly, mastered by Loïc Gaillard, and illustrated by Greg_zk, »Mammoth« showcases Gora Mama’s evolution as a band. From heavy riffs to airy melodies under the tribe’s drum, the song explores a heavy but chilly stoner rock and marks the second release with their new lineup.

Gora Mama is a tribal stoner rock band inspired by the mysteries of nature, history and human tribes through the ages. Lyrics delve into the enigmatic links between humans and various beliefs, legends and rituals, pondering questions ranging from the fate of Ötzi to the transcendence of animals into gods.

Supported by wild rhythms, dissonant distorted melodies and a powerful voice, Gora Mama’s sound is
complemented by throat singing and unique, mysterious instruments hidden throughout the tracks.
