Denison, Texas based southern rock/groove metal band Texas Hippie Coalition has released new music video for »Hard Habit« taken from their latest studio album, »The Name Lives On«, out on April 21st, 2023 via MNRK Heavy.
Texas Hippie Coalition is often compared to the many great southern rock and Texas bands that came before them. But they are proving to the world that THC is not just following in their footsteps, they are leaving giant footprints. THC has etched out a place for themselves in the multi-genre fields of music, and have also created their own genre, “Red Dirt Metal”. You have to hear it to understand it. Words are not enough to convey how powerfully big their sound is.
With a southern rock influenced brand of metal that pours punk, grunge, and pure melodic hard rock into the blender, Texas Hippie Coalition evokes Molly Hatchet and Charlie Daniels crossed with Pantera chasing after the rock ghost of Lynyrd Skynyrd. The band took up residency on the Billboard heatseekers chart before cracking the Top 200 with the release of 2014’s »Ride On«. THC continued to refine its Texas outlaw-metal sound on subsequent efforts »High In The Saddle« (2019) and »The Name Lives On« (2023).
