The Answer Lies In The Black Void share a music video for their new single »In Obsidian Clouds«!

Atmospheric doom metal duo The Answer Lies In The Black Void share a music video for the new single »In Obsidian Clouds« taken from their upcoming sophomore album »Shadow Work«.

Says the band: “Hello all, we hope you had peaceful and relaxing holidays! Here is a litte entertainment for the new years eve celebration. Our new single »In Obsidian Clouds« also has a special synthwave version as the B-side. The single release of the forthcoming 2nd album »Shadow Work« is free/pay as you like, you can download it via our Bandcamp page. Please enjoy and share the videoclip/music to spread the music!”

The Answer Lies In The Black Void is a collaboration between Martina Horváth (Thy Catafalque, Mansur) and Jason Köhnen (Mansur, Celestial Season, Bong-Ra, The Lovecraft Sextet, ex-The Kilimanjaro Darkjazz Ensemble). The debut album »Forlorn« (out on Burning World / Roadburn Records) shows their personal take on the doom genre in all its beautiful darkness and from all possible angles.

After their immensely well received debut album »Forlorn«, The Answer Lies In The Black Void will be returning with their second album in the spring of 2023. »In Obsidian Clouds« is the first single from the upcoming album entitled »Shadow Work«, inspired by Carl Jung’s shadow work.

The videoclip to »In Obsidian Clouds« has been created with the use of AI generated images, which Köhnen then manipulated and animated in post-production.

The side-B of the single is an synthwave remix of the original. This special version will only be available as part of the single release.

This release is a free/pay as you like. All proceedings will go to an animal welfare charity.

Mixed/mastered by Daniel Azar Arendarski.
